The Sprint is the only race-pace evidence before qualifying

The Sprint starts four hours before Grand Prix Qualifying on Saturday, and its result does not set the Grand Prix grid. How sprint weekends are scored.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit

Marina Bay is 4.927 km long with 19 corners, down from 23 before the 2023 layout change, and the Grand Prix runs for 62 laps. The street surface is bumpy, and drivers are busy at the wheel for most of the lap. Formula 1’s circuit guide (opens in a new tab).

Singapore held the first Grand Prix run entirely at night, in 2008. Humidity is usually above 70% and the temperature sits between 24 and 31°C, and drivers can lose up to 3 kg over the race.
